The Dumdum Trip

A rap song composed on one of our several journeys by road in Iran on our trip when we had little to do. Genius Kaye did most of the words. Dana was our script writer (literally!!!). Therese, Mary and I helped with words when we got stuck. TJ as expected was also the grammar consultant! Eden was left with listening to us.

This is a story about our trip to I-ran
travelling to a country that many think is bann(ed).
Two days of the flight
without any sunlight.
Seven girls and a man
travelling with 3 Irani(ya)ns
driving precariously in a van
covering the country, as much as we can.

We started at the palace:
It was nothing like Dallas.
Went down the rabbit hole like Alice

Bach, bach, bach...... ribbit, ribbit....

We were all starvin’
from looking at ancient carvins.’
So off for kabobs,
there weren't any sobs.

Draped in scarfs and a coat
today we really needed a boat.
But we had tea and cookies enroute
while we worked on this note.

Ancient sites we did see;
we were so filled with glee.
In the bathroom we saw a flee.
Thank goodness it didn't bite me!
Bach, bach, bach......ribbit, ribbit...

Ninja and Beautiful Moon
met soon after Tehroon.
But it wasn’t the month of June
and now we're ending this tune.
